- Now I've been looking 4 schools 4 my little girl, doing interviews, trying 2 find the perfect fit 4 her. The whole process is so crazy!
- I also recorded an amazing song 4 my new film "bringing up bobby", its a ukrainian version of "proud mary" if u can blieve that! Lol!
- Too funny, like an eastern european tina turner! Lol! I'll post it when evr they give me the ok! I lost my voice 4 2 days afterwards!
- Now I'm doing ADR for my film "faces in the crowd". Its pretty boring doing voice over stuff, so I've been stuck in a dark room 4 2days
- but now the year has begun and I have 2 get back 2 work, no matter how fun it is 2 do art projects and watch "dora" over and over w my girl!
- Oh and BTW, I saw a rough cut of "3 musketeers" and its SIIIIIICK!!!! No cgi, no effects, temp score, but the movie looks INCREDIBLE!!!
- Sorry guys, gotta go back in my dark room and finish the voicing 4 the film! Hope u're all having a grt year so far!!!
01.10.11 - Interview from California Chronicle:
Discussing physically demanding roles vs. emotinoally demanding roles: "Physical exertion is, of course, tiring. You get sore, but emotionally draining films are the ones that really get to you. A movie like Stone or The Claim really drain you emotionally. You come home and ask yourself, 'What is reality?' and 'Who am I?' "It's so disconcerting, especially when you play a character you might not even like. You're compelled to challenge yourself to play somebody you wouldn't want to know. That gets so depressing and so difficult because you can't just leave work on the set. You bring it home with you. I don't want to stay in character, but it's hard to just turn it off. You've been walking the walk and talking the talk and going through the same actions as this person. Then you go home and you're supposed to be like, 'OK, great, now I'm Milla. Good.' "
Discussing filming The Three Musketeers: "I was wearing the corset for stunt rehearsal and it's quite something after a couple of hours in that thing. It's definitely exhausting. Just sitting is exhausting. Me and the girls were like, 'They're going to have to make us smoothies for lunch because there's just no way we're going to be able to eat anything laced up'. They unlaced us for lunch but how were they going to lace us back up after lunch? You have to really think about these things. And what kind of chairs are we going to have in between takes because our dresses are big? "But it's been fun. It's a real action adventure. I would probably compare it more to The Mummy than the classical story. I was working three days a week. I wasn't be there every single day with every single shot on me, which is pretty much how my year's been. It was definitely hard work, though. I had a really amazing stunt sequence, but all in the corset. It'll be nice to sort of take a break. "
Once spring comes around, she plans to get into the studio and get some serious recording done: "Maynard James Keenan and I have been working together sporadically because both of us have been busy. But one of our closest friends is Danny Lohner, who used to play bass for Nine Inch Nails back in the day. He's an amazing producer. He did all the Underworld soundtracks and a lot of different stuff. So I do work with them when I have time, usually around January and early February, right after the holidays when things haven't started yet. Usually everything gets going in late February and March for me. So, in that time, I'm like, 'Danny, let's play some music.' "I'm hoping when my daughter starts school I'll focus back on my music. I don't want to be travelling so much then. That's when I'm going to be more stable."
01.03.11 - Milla's film Dirty Girl will be shown at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival (February 10-20, 2011).
Stone will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on January 18, 2011 [ Amazon pre-order: DVD / Blu-ray ]
