  • UKRAINIAN-BORN ACTRESS VISITS MOSCOW: Most newspapers featured an interview with the Ukrainian-born actress Milla Jovovich, who is visiting Moscow for the opening of her film Ultraviolet. "I really love Russia," she told Rossiiskaya Gazeta in an interview. Asked why she "abandoned" Russia, she replied that it had been her parents' decision to emigrate. "Was I supposed to stay by myself in Russia at five years old?" she said. Gazeta lauded Ms. Jovovich for retaining her Russian, despite having left the country as a child. "It was not necessary to translate a single word the Russian journalists said," the paper said, treating her as visit as a homecoming.
