- I’m back in Austin for a special screening of #dazedandconfused and look at this awesome bag we got! There will be a Q&A panel afterward with some of our awesome cast and the lovely director #richardlinklater 👏👏👏🥳
- What an amazing evening watching Dazed and Confused (1993) 30 years later! It’s crazy seeing everyone again and remembering the epic journey we all had making this film. Literally a bunch of kids, thrown together in Austin, Texas living life to its fullest, feeling so liberated and alive and grown up! I remember I would go to Congress St. back then and there were so many musicians sitting on sidewalks busking. I would bring my guitar with me and jam with them almost every evening. They would teach me new chords and I would immediately go back to my hotel and write what would eventually become my album The Divine Comedy. In particular, I wrote a favorite song on that record called Ruby Lane and another that Richard immortalized in the film, The Alien Song. It’s so wild to think of how much life knowledge and inspiration we were all immersed in, being creative and working with the other incredible young talent on that movie. I got to see some wonderful people last night who I hadn’t seen in way too long. We had such a blast re connecting and I want to thank all the amazing fans who showed up to watch this gem! Second slide is with the sweet and incredibly talented director Richard Linklater, the third with my friend and mentor on the film @marissaribisi and her lovely daughter @tuesdayhansenn. Fourth one is with the iconic @joeylaurenadams and then some fun group shots with Wiley Wiggins, Michelle Burke, Christin Hinojosa, Christine Harnos @christine_harnos, Esteban Powell and of course Anthony Rapp @albinokid1026. It was so great hanging with you all, reliving such a unique and poignant time of our lives, when we all, as a team, helped Richard create such a legendary movie. 🔥🔥#dazedandconfused #richardlinklater #austinfilmsociety
09.20.24 - First look at Milla and Dave Bautista in In The Lost Lands (2025)!
From Deadline: Vertical has acquired U.S. rights to the fantasy pic In The Lost Lands, reuniting Resident Evil filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson and star Milla Jovovich, from Constantin Film. Based on a short story by Game of Thrones‘ George R.R. Martin, the film also stars Dave Bautista of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. It’ll be be released exclusively in theaters early next year.
The story centers on a queen who, desperate to fulfill her love, makes a daring play: she sends the powerful and feared sorceress Gray Alys (Jovovich) to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide, the drifter Boyce (Bautista), must outwit and outfight man and demon…
09.16.24 - From Milla's Instagram @millajovovich: Hey everyone! I’ve been asked recently why I scrubbed my page and where I’ve been lately. Well, the short answer is, I’ve done two films this year, possibly a third before Christmas. We moved and that was a lot of work😅. But more than anything else, I’ve been trying to be a part of my community. I’ve been focusing on being the best unpaid Uber driver for my kids between school and dance, music, gymnastics, martial arts… it’s been crazy busy as any mom will understand. Also, I’ve found that at 48, I’ve changed so much from the person I was before, I needed a clean slate to start from to be this me, the me of the present. I’ve been doing a lot of stretching and deep breathing to handle stress and honestly social media was adding to my stress. You need content, you need content and I’m done with it. I’ve lost a lot of followers because I took a long break, but I’m ok with that because I want to enjoy the small amount of time I spend on here. So here’s a little recap of my personal summer. I’ve made a lot of paper dolls for my little ones. My youngest loves Wednesday, so she’s being creepy in some of the pics. I’ve spent quality time with my family, my dad lets the girls dress him and do his hair😂 My eldest got her black belt in Taekwondo and is now studying Jujitsu. Cooking, organizing and taking the time I’m not on location working to just breathe, try and relax and enjoy my incredible family and the wonderful community I’m now a part of! Sending love, m❤️
