I've seen two different videos for "Gentleman Who Fell". What gives?
The first version was directed by Lisa Bonet (in color, featuring Harry Dean Stanton). Milla wasn't satisfied with how it turned out and made a new video (black and white, with a tarantula). The second is essentially a pastiche of Maya Deren's famous avant-garde short film "Meshes of the Afternoon" (1943).
Where did the name "The Divine Comedy" come from?
Milla: "When I was first working on the sketch for the album cover my mom introduced me to a young Russian artist named Alexis Steele. I looked at his sketch for the cover and I saw that struggle — all the struggle that I'm singing about. It IS the divine comedy."
I've heard different versions of some songs. How come?
In addition to album tracks, some songs were recorded acoustically and some were edited for radio play:
  • "Gentleman Who Fell": Radio version on the GWF UK and US CD singles and the GWF UK 7" single. Acoustic version on "Loaded Volume 1".
  • "Clock": Acoustic version on the GWF UK CD single.
  • "You Did it All Before": Acoustic version on the GWF UK CD single and the GWF UK 7" single.
What is a particular song about?

When did Milla start modeling?
Milla began modeling when she was 11 years old. Richard Avedon chose her as one of Revlon's "Most Unforgettable Women in the World." Her first cover was the October 1987 edition of Italian magazine Lei.
What is Milla's fashion line?
Milla and Carmen Hawk started Jovovich-Hawk in 2003. The label ran until 2008 and was known for its vintage-inspired, playful designs.
