About the film . . .

Plot summary: When an unexpected sandstorm transports Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is home to enormous and terrifying monsters immune to their firepower. In their desperate battle for survival, the unit encounters the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills allow him to stay one step ahead of the powerful creatures. As Artemis and Hunter slowly build trust, she discovers that he is part of a team led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Facing a danger so great it could threaten to destroy their world, the brave warriors combine their unique abilities to band together for the ultimate showdown. A singleplayer side story is being added to Monster Hunter: World Iceborne in which you play as Milla's character from the Monster Hunter movie, Artemis. These quests will be available starting December 3 at 4p PST, and will remain playable for a year. More from Engadget.

- #setlife First week on #monsterhuntermovie is coming to a close and it's been INSANE! We've been shooting in a location called Atlantis Dunes outside Cape Town which is just breathtaking. White sand as far as the eye can see (also in everyone's eyes so no one can see and in our teeth too!)
